Absolutely beautiful ... you could have painted this near our ski cabin in rural, central Pennsylvania. Love the accent of the sunlight on the church ... subtle but powerful touch!!!! Gorgeous as always!!!! l/f t and p

I LOVE this painting Len. I've driven Route 9. And spent some time in New York. There are a lot of scenic areas there with a significant building prominantly on a hill. "Old Downtown" Kingston has a church built in the 1600's.

This remembered vision of yours my friend, is exceptional! I am lead into this painting,.. snow covered road that takes me down into a village and directs me to a beautiful church up on a hill. Fantastic story told in paint - outstanding work my friend!! .........Joe

This is really beautiful, Len. Is it an actual location? I love the lighting and mood in this, and the composition is superb. Very nice! Gordon
Len Stomski replied:
Thanks Gordon, Well it's an actual view as my memory serves me for it goes back to my navy days of 1950's when I would hitch-hike home from Charleston, South Carolina, For some reason this scene ( a favorite) stayed with me all these years. It is what I remember seeing this along the rolling hills of Route 9 in New York state. So after art school and many studies and years of paintings I learned how to juggle elements and how to put the sun to work for me.
