Len Stomski
Medium
Painting - Oil On Gessoed Panel
Description
This painting that I started years ago was put aside because it wasn't working out like it should, Yesterday with a fresh eye I was able to see what was wrong and make the necessary corrections.
Greylock on the right shows the famous Thunderbolt ski trail and the land slide from years ago, Ragged mountain is in the center of the painting, the foreground changed a bit.

What a beautiful landscape, Len. Love how the light falls on the interesting red buildings nestled among the mountains. Thanks for sharing how some paintings need time and a fresh eye to be brought to completion. That gives hope to some of us who may have a few of those waiting around! :) L/F

A truly lovely painting, Len. Looking at it make me think of that majestic music from the film "Out of Africa". There's a soaring and wideness to it... LF

Outstanding painting, Len!!! You are a master at capturing light in your spectacular paintings. The layer of mist is wonderful and the sunlit highlights bring focus on the red barn magnificently! v/f

You always succeed in immersing the entire person in a landscape -- we know from looking at this painting, not only the exact look of this weather, time of day and vantage, but we know the sensation of the air on our skin and in our nose, the sounds, scents and entire feeling of this place. This is majestic and completely involving! v/f
