Brandon Farm

Medium
Painting - Oil On Gessoed Panel
Description
My last painting of the Brandon farm since the barn is now gone, Been taken down board by board and rebuilt as a home for someone with deep pockets. Mrs. Brandon and her son finally had to give in to the low prices paid for their milk and the high cost of grains to feed the cows and of course the long hours. The real founders of the 24/7 phrase.

Lovely rural scene and painting, LF So enjoy your barn and house paintings, done with such care and love, as well as respect for the lifestyle of the period. So sad many of these places are disappearing in our country.

I love to revisit each of your paintings, so rich in atmosphere and mood. This rewards long immersion with its glorious subtleties and nuances of effect and feeling. "Beautiful" is too weak a word for your achievement. fav
