Description
Painted from memory this was my Grandfather's place in Great Barrington where I spent much time when young, Elecetricity came to the farm in the mid 40's 'til then all milking was done by hand. All big chores were done with horses,Gramps didn't get a tractor until the late 50's. Today all the barns are gone, But the fine property is still a wonderful place to visit. A few years ago I celebrated my birthday down at the pond where Gramps fished & I could still see him when he caught a fish he would whip the long bamboo rod he used and the fish would come out of the water and fly half way across the field Then my Grandmother would fry them up so that they tasted better than Kentucky Fried Chicken..... I'll take those days anytime.
