Artist's Description
I've crossed the mighty Hudson River many times and would always think how this water will soon be in the neighborhood of Manhattan on the way to the Atlantic Ocean. Now, if one were to assume a high vantage point, one would get this serene, rural scene of the sea gulls far below searching for food while the river flows under a thin layer of ice, The meandering Hudson that started its 315 mile journey from the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York passes by the Catskill mountains as shown in this view.
